Sharing Awareness Education Healing
I originally wanted to use the "Coping With Diabetes" e-book as a gift to encourage diabetics coming to this site to sign up for my Newsletter.
After giving it some thought though, I felt it...
...would be more advantageous to just give it away without any strings attached. The more people to receive this e-book - the better.
Your health is more important than you joining my newsletter. I still hope you join the Newsletter though, as this is another source of beneficial education.
...is what I felt like was dropped on me when I was first diagnosed with diabetes 25 years ago. I was depressed for a week.
I felt my life was over (that's not good for someone just in their mid thirties). Then I begin to learn that the disease could be managed, and I also learned that I would be able to deal with the disease.
I have had the opportunity to speak with many diabetics who when they were first diagnosed, felt the same way.
I made sure that
I let them know that they were not alone, and that I felt the
same way when I was first diagnosed, but after 25
plus years of having the disease...
...I am still alive and kicking (at the time of writing this, I am 59 years young).
This book will be encouraging. People who have just discovered that they have diabetes need a strong support system. During this time they may feel confused, down and out. Many may wonder - "what now!?"
They - and even those who may have had the disease for awhile need emotional support. This is the time where family and friends come in. Especially during the time they are still...
...adjusting and discovering ways to come to terms with this health condition. After learning that coping with diabetes begins with an attitude adjustment and a lifestle change, most feel a whole lot better.
They can now move on and do what it takes to began coping with their diabetes.
I now always keep several printed copies of "Coping With Diabetes" on me when I'm out and about. If I get the opportunity to speak with someone who has diabetes, I make sure they get a copy.
You can do the same if you like. Feel free to share this book with as many diabetics as you can.
You can send them to this site or maybe print out a copy or two and give them out, or if you download it, you can attach it to an email.
Or you can simply "Like" the page below or share a comment. This will also get the word out to others who may be diabetic.
The Center of Disease Control (CDC), reports that...
diabetes affects an estimated 21 million people in the U.S., and more than six million of these people are unaware they have the disease.
